A 6 metre stair runner

stage 1

The landing was fitted over the nose of the top step which is different to a landing fitted with normal close-fitted stairs. Firstly I discussed the width of the runner with the customer, who wanted it to be 70 cm wide.  I showed the customer a colour chart of bindings and they decided on a plain green.I then cut the stairs down in width. I ordered the right length of carpet for the hall, landing and stairs. I conveniently cut the runner off the side of the landing which meant saving a lot of unnecessary waste. I then got the carpet sent to a very reliable and really neat company that bound the runner

Stage 2

Once getting carpet bound with black binding I went back to the house and measured very carefully to make sure I centralised the runner. I then cut the gripper and underlay the appropriate width and centralised them and put them down by pinning the gripper and staling underlay.

Stage 3

I fitted the stairway runner perfectly central on the stair case. As per the picture the end result was perfect and the customer was delighted with how the finished product looked.
